MOLTEN LANDSCAPES jewellery WORKSHOP

Who is this for?

We are inviting individuals who love a hands-on experience and possess a genuine curiosity for the art of craftsmanship to join us. You love to create with loose guidelines and really make something your own. You find solace in giving in to the present moment and seeing where the journey takes you - or you really hate it and now you’d like to dip your toes into the process.

Our goldsmithing studio provides a relaxing and supportive environment where you will be guided by Caranina in her creative sanctuary. With over 7 years of goldsmithing experience, you can confidently let her guide you to explore your creativity and come out with something you are proud to tell everyone that you made it!

Our studio is nestled east of downtown Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Filled with natural light and exposed brick, we have curated a comfortable and inspiring atmosphere for art workshops, goldsmithing, and handmade jewelry crafting to allow your creativity to shine through. Our artist-led space embodies the vibrant maker culture of Hamilton.

The land of which Hamilton resides are the traditional territories of Anishinabewaki ᐊᓂᔑᓈᐯᐗᑭ, Attiwonderonk (Neutral), Haudenosaunee, Mississauga, and Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation.

Step By Step

We'll start with morsels of wax and slowly form them into your own personally designed ring(s) or pendant(s) using heat to create shapes of interest and intention.

This is a two part workshop. The first session is working solely in wax and creating your design(s) and the follow up workshop is working on your piece(s) again but in the metal of your choice - refining your design and polishing them up for wear.

Often asked about

How many people are in each class?

Generally classes are either one or two people per session. We like to keep the class sizes small so everyone gets the attention they need.

More often than not, if someone isn’t coming solo, they have booked the workshop with a close friend, family member, or partner for an anniversary.

Do I need to know exactly what I want to make before our first session?

No! We always encourage doing some inspiration searching before the session but it’s totally not necessary. We have plenty of samples for you to check out during your workshop.

How does payment work?

Payment is split in two chunks. The first is when you book your workshop. This covers all materials and the studio time. The second payment will be at your second session when we know the exact cost of your metal for your pieces. We will give you an estimate of this at the end of your first workshop so there are no surprises.
